“I am a certified Sr. High Art Teacher who was tired of subbing and decided to “go for it” and I opened my own Art Studio here in Courtenay, BC! I teach acrylic painting classes, epoxy resin workshops, and host paint parties for any occasion at my Courtenay, Vancouver Island studio!
I also enjoy doing commissioned paintings, and drawings on the regular, and am starting to get out to markets to get my art and new business “out there”.
I am a busy Mom of 2 young children. The Studio is beside our house on a commercial property in Courtenay, at 88 Leash Road, making it a quick commute to work for me. I love sharing my passion for art with others and I believe creativity is “inside us all”, and serves us best when it come from the heart. I believe I have what it takes to be able pull that out of someone.”
Laura Jayne Art Studio is based in Courtenay, B.C., on Vancouver Island. Her gallery is open to the public by appointment at 88 Leash Road. She frequents the Raven Artisan Market in Cumberland and will by on the Island Studio Tour with Comox Valley Arts in May.
