About the Artist

“Back in 2020, because of the pandemic, I started (acrylic) painting little hearts and mailing them to friends and family. They were to be tucked away inside a cupboard or pantry, out of everyday sight, but in a place where the recipient would see it often and be reminded of the person who sent it (me).
I became obsessed. Couldn’t stop painting them! Had hundreds on my studio wall! Then I started selling them – just a few. Then more and more and more. They were designed to be given away, easily mailed to people we couldn’t get together with. Today there are more than 5,000 Kitchen Cupboard heARTs© all over the world! Each one is hand painted by me. They are all the same, and yet, all unique.
They make great little gifts that say I love you, or I miss you. I can customize the instruction card that comes with each if they are used as wedding announcements or favours, baby reveals or birthday celebrations! So far, they have been sold for five fundraising events (Shannon’s Table, No One Untouched, Canadian Horse Defence, Ukrainian people & animals and Concerned Citizens of Baynes Sound). The possibilities and colour combinations are endless!! And I love painting them!!

I also do happy little watercolours and linoprint tea towels.”
