After years of visiting Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, Tim and Nat knew this was the place they wanted to be. With 50 combined years of culinary and administrative experience between them they also knew they wanted to run their own business. When the opportunity presented itself, they jumped on the next ferry and never looked back.

They started Yellow Deer Mustard because they thought, with 80 to 90% of the world’s mustard seed being grown in Canada, why not make delicious small batch Canadian mustard?

Currently on offer are eight artisanal mustards, blended locally in small batches with their own spice mixes. The majority of these mustards are made with no additives or preservatives, with the exception of the preservatives in their pickles used in the Dill Pickle flavour. The blends include Whisky Maple, Honey, Ol’ Yeller, Berbere, Creole, Curry, Dill Pickle, and Jalapeño Jerk!!!
