Meet the Maker
After spending a 35 year career as a teacher and principal, Brent was introduced to the wood lathe by a gentleman in Ladysmith. Over the last 15 years he has refined his skills and is now producing some beautiful and unique items made from local wood found on the island. During the last year he has discovered the scroll saw and this new challenge has taken up most of his time lately. His young grand daughter has also been making and selling unique jewelry items and lidded boxes made on the lathe which have also provided a great option for gift giving.
