Many Vancouver Island Farmers, Brewers, and other local Food Producers are open for business and here to serve you during the Covid-19 Pandemic
It’s always important to support local, but in these times during the Covid-19 (Novel Coronavirus) pandemic, it’s more important than ever to support your small local businesses to make sure they are still there for you once this is all over.
Many of your Vancouver Island farms, brewers, farmer’s markets, and other food and beverage producers are still open during this time to serve you. Although it may not quite be “business as usual”, these small local businesses are finding alternative ways to operate safely, be it by drive through grocery pickup, front door delivery, or even weekly subscription food crates. All of these Vancouver Island small businesses are, of course, adhering to strict precautions to keep you safe. Please check each company’s website or social feeds for their latest updates as things can change quickly during this time.
Are you a Vancouver Island/Sunshine Coast farm store, farmer’s market, or other food/beverage producer and you would like to be added to the list? Please contact us here. This is a complementary service offered by Island Crafted during these unprecedented times.

Or…. just take the night off!
Cooking 3 meals a day can be exhausting… especially when you have a whole family to feed! Maybe it’s time to take the night off, you deserve it. Support your local Vancouver Island restaurants who still have their kitchens open, ready to cook you up a delicious meal for you to enjoy at home (or maybe on the beach, or at the park!)
If you live in the Oceanside area, there is a great new website called Oceanside Takeout highlighting the restaurants still open for business in Parksville and Qualicum. www.OceansideTakeOut.ca
If you know of a similar directory in your area, please drop the website in the comments.
Stay healthy and stay safe Vancouver Island. Thank you for supporting local!
