About This Business
Coastal Waves Fine Art is a home-based gallery and studio in Port McNeill on Northern Vancouver Island. I create original acrylic paintings inspired by the wildlife, coastlines, forests and communities of the North Island. My work often features orcas, humpback whales, eagles, rugged beaches, quiet harbours and familiar places such as Telegraph Cove, Sointula and Cape Scott. In addition to original paintings, my artwork is available as fine art prints, art cards, calendars, puzzles and a selection of art-inspired gifts. Visitors are welcome to arrange a visit to my Port McNeill gallery, and my work can also be purchased online.

Their Story
About The Maker
“I’m Kathy Harder, the artist behind Coastal Waves Fine Art. Living on Northern Vancouver Island gives me an endless source of inspiration. I am drawn to the changing light, dramatic coastlines, wildlife and small communities that make this part of British Columbia so special. Many of my paintings begin with a place or encounter that has stayed with me — an orca surfacing nearby, morning light through the forest, a remote west coast beach, or memories of places such as Telegraph Cove. Through my paintings, I hope to share both the beauty of Northern Vancouver Island and the stories and connections that make these places meaningful.”
